Wednesday Thoughts

I'm too tired today to have a lot of thoughts. Well, I guess I have thoughts but I'm just too tired to put them together in an interesting way. So instead of making you read a lot of incoherent babble, I'll share with you a phone conversation I just had with my grandma.

Grandma: Are you going up north this weekend?
Me: Yes, I'm looking forward to it!
Grandma (picturing me on vacation without a man): You need to find a boyfriend.
Me: I know.
Grandma: I guess you're not very aggressive?
Me: Probably not enough.
Grandma: I wasn't either. But you're just so pretty!
Me: Well, thanks!
Grandma: Don't thank me. I can't do anything for you.
Me: (laughing)
Grandma: Your hair just looks so good like that (curly). I'm glad you're wearing it that way more. It looks more professional the other way, but more feminine, curly.
Me: Thanks. Some people seem to like it.
Grandma: Told you so.
.....
Me, changing the subject: So, how are you doing? You sound good!
Grandma: Oh, fair to middlin'.

Happy Wednesday.

That is funny.
I have a brother.
I totally wouldn't suggest anyone date him...but he would be fun to travel with. What I am trying to say is...he likes ladies with curly hair and funny grandmas...........

I love that Grandma of ours!!! She's the best! She asked me how I was doing a few weeks ago, and I said "fair to middling" too, and she laughed and said she didn't think anyone said that anymore besides her! :) Ah, she's great!

Yeah! I love grandparents... wish I had some. But I sure am glad we had 2 live w/ us over the years. What a joy, and a hoot they are! Give her a squeeze for me, even if she doesn't know me! And I agree I'm still laughing over the don't thank me! I'm so glad you right about her, what a joy to read for generations to come.

This made my day! I love grandma's! Nobody looks at life the way they do!

P.S. Watch out when you come out here this summer!! Guys are gonna be lined up for you from the top of the Y to State Street!! ;-)

I had 2 thoughts about your Wednesday thoughts: 1) Your grandma should write a personal ad for you and select the best guys. She seems to know her stuff! :) (Like that movie "Because I Said So") and 2) She reminds me of the feisty Grandma in the book I'm reading, "Queen of Babble"...they are both so blunt, with the best intentions! :)

Something I learned from a good friend of mine, is that you can say whatever you want about a person as long as you say "Bless her heart" afterwards. We had fun one summer with that one! Grandma just says what she thinks! Bless her heart.

Where North? I didn't know we were going north this weekend.

It seems your grandma must be talking to my grandma, and mom, and sisters because they all tell me I need to find a girlfriend.

An admirer from the distance. ;)
