The sneeze heard (not smelled) round the world |
I had sat on this couch many times and never having noticed anything that smelled like sneeze on it, I naturally thought he was crazy. So the next time I was there, I sniffed the couch. I got as close as I could to it, trying to detect anything sneeze like. Besides smelling like it belonged in a house where only men live, I smelled nothing I could identify as "sneeze."
Now Jesse's back at school and I forgot all about the sneeze debate until this morning when I got a text message from him saying that a guy in his class sneezed and he could smell it. He claims that "not all sneezes have a smell" but some do.
I told him I'd take it to the blog to settle this dispute. What do you guys think? Have you ever smelled a sneeze?

Maybe sneezes could smell like the persons breath that sneezed, but i've never noticed. How often do you get close enough to smell someone's sneeze, most people turn their heads away. I don't know about this one. Sounds like you might need a poll.
I was going to leave more comments, but really, I have nothing to say on this one. I'm just blown away.
scratch that..i just noticed the corner...with the poll in it, but i won't delete my comment out of embarresment b/c i was the first commenter and if I delete someone might take my place.
I think the guys who live in this house are awesome...
I've never smelled a sneeze. Hopefully I never do.
It's real! Sneeze smell is the worst!!
haha, Jesse! You are so crazy. Suuuuuuure it's real.
I'll concede that you may have a hightened sense of smell. Maybe that's your super power. ;)
The only smell it has is my own sneeze when I have a sinus infection... but it's more taste than smell. Yuck!
How big is this guy's nose anyway?:D

Proof that I'm not crazy.
I have sneezed everyday for the past 11 years (I sneeze in threes in the morning... it happens) and I have never noticed a smell.
I have never heard anyone talk about a sneeze smell either. Not to say that it doesn't exist or not to rebuff this person's crazy/sane factor. Just me personally, I have never experienced the "sweet" sneeze smell according to that previous link. (or any smell)
Weird.
Wait, what? People can smell sneezes? And who would want to inhale all those germs anyway? Silly boy.
Nope, no way.
At the risk of sounding crazy, I'm going to have to go with Jesse on this one. Some sneezes smell.
I've never smelled a sneeze, nor did the alleged "sneeze couch" ever smell like anything other then an old couch to me. Do sneezes smell like old furniture, then?
Can you smell your own sneezes or can you only smell other people's?
