Life in pictures

Today I thought I'd share with you some pictures from my life this week! It's not an all inclusive list, and I guess some of it is from last month. So....let's just move on to the collage.

1. Have you guys heard of the ap "Photo 365"? It's really fun. And it's basically exactly what it sounds like. Every day you take a picture (or more) and save them to that day on the calendar. It's a fun way to look back and see what you did on that day. Plus, bonus: if you need an alibi, this could maybe work in a pinch.

The only picture I didn't actually take was on the 27th, because I forgot. Or possible it was just a really ugly day and I didn't want to capture it. I can't remember. (Who can remember November anymore, am I right?) That was the day I was introduced to Doghair boy, and it was one of the greatest days of 2012 for that reason. So he got the place of  honor that day.

When I read about this ap, it was being promoted as being a great ap for people with kids, but I decided to stick it to the man and get it for myself. I showed them (for the small price of .99 cents). Try to tell me something is only good if you have kids.... (grumble grumble grumble)

2. This is a Christmas painting I'm working on. I traced it and am now working on the painting bit of it. It's fun and easy! I'm not going to paint a face on it. That would be a huge mistake. My painting skills end with filling in a traced shape.

3. I got my hair done yesterday! I was having an impossible time getting a self take of it so you can't see the top of my hair in this picture. Either that or I'm trying to hide the fact that I'm bald on the top of my head. There's no way of knowing. Did you notice my awesome Flux Capacitor t-shirt in that picture?

4. I saw this bumper sticker twice yesterday! In case you can't read it, it says, "Love people. Cook them tasty food." This is basically my life motto, so I was pretty excited to see it captured in bumper sticker form. I may even order one of these for myself,  though I'm not much of a bumper sticker person. The only bumper sticker I've ever put on my car is an outline of the state of Michigan. Because I know that my love of Michigan will never fade. Anything else, I might regret permanently affixing to my car. Pretty sure I'll always love (some) people and will enjoy cooking them tasty food though, so that's probably a safe one.

My other reason for not putting bumper stickers on my car is that I always worry that having too opinionated of a bumper sticker will encourage people to crash into me, or not let me into traffic, or (worst of all) give me the stink eye. What's the most opinionated bumper sticker you've ever put on your car?

I need to get that app! It's groovy. Doghair boy, however...not so much... Also, I like your painting AND your hair cut! The new lower 'do really distracts from your glaring upper baldness. ;) And thanks for cooking us tasty food! I'm always happy to help you fulfill your commands from this bumper sticker.

I haven't put many bumper stickers on my cars, either. I had that license plate on the front of the car Grandma Downie gave us that said "Go Ye." And a Lonestar Steakhouse and Saloon bumper sticker at one point (when I worked there for a few months). I like to have political bumper stickers, but I usually tape them in my window. After the election's over (even if my guy won), it feels so passe to have it stuck to your bumper. ;) Oh, and I have the Michigan Mitten outline, too - MICHIGAN 4EVER!!!

I have the Michigan Mitten outline bumper sticker one, too, which I have not yet affixed to my bumper. So technically I have never owned or put one on my bumper. I love the calendar app!

The calendar ap seems very funny, except I only have free aps. I am lame.

I was once waiting to be interviewed for a position on a grand jury in downtown detroit when the defending attourney asked everyone who was in the juror box if they had any bumper stickers on their car. His reasoning was that if you stuck a sticker on your car about something, it is something that is important to you, and was using that as a judge of character. Ever since then, I have been afraid to put anything on my car that isn't pretty much public knowledge about me. I just have my mileage stickers for running/triathlon. I guess that means I am super committed to running/triathlon. I really wanted to be asked that question so I could brag about my longest races to a bunch of new people that weren't yet bored of hearing about them :)
