K, I'll calm down now.
So, I found an amazing bike path I never knew about, and it's very close to where I live! I've been going there nearly every evening around dusk and riding until it gets dark. The best part about this bike path is that it is home to hundreds of fireflies. I've never seen so many fireflies in one spot! It's honestly magical riding down this path with fireflies sparkling like crazy all around me.
It looks something like this. |
In other Wednesday thoughts, happy (two days after) Independence Day! Did you have a good one? My weekend was a lot of fun. I went on a mini-road trip on Saturday. We had no real destination in mind, so we just kept driving until we hit Lake Michigan. We ended up in South Haven, which is a super cute town. The only regret I have for the day is that the Mystery Spot we drove by wasn't open yet and we never made it back. Now I'll never get to see a ball roll uphill!
Have any of you ever been to one of those Mystery Spots? It's one of my life goals to go to one. I just don't feel like my life will be complete until I see gravity defied.
Another thing I enjoyed about my weekend was learning how to make ice cream in a bag! So simple, yet so delicious! If you want the recipe, let me know! Exclamation points!
Happy people making ice cream |
Happy Wednesday!

I have been to the mystery spot. When you go... be sure to have as much fun on the trip as possible as the the destination might be a dissappointment... It's that way for everything in life. Enjoy the journey.
If this blog had paid subscribers, I'd deserve 25 percent for how often I am in your life/blog/dreams.
P.S. I was happy with my ice cream though
My dreams?!?! Hahaha, I don't know about that. You complained about that one post though, so now I have to make sure I paint you in a positive light. ;) And I tricked you into making your own ice cream, for the record. You never even noticed.
Sounds like a fun weekend! Yes, I would like the recipe for the ice cream!
Ok, I think it was something like this:
In a sandwich bag, put:
1/2 cup half and half
1/2 milk
1 tsp. flavoring (i used vanilla)
1-3 T sugar (however much you want)
Seal up bag.
Put inside larger plastic bag and fill that one with rock salt and ice. Shake the bags for about fifteen minutes until the ice cream freezes. I hope that makes sense!
I've always wanted to go to to a Mystery Spot, too!!! One day. Nice picture of Dan and Rokey! I'd like to try some of that ice cream...but I think I'd like Adam to make it for me, if that's ok. And I love the look of that bike path! I'll have to try it out sometime.
One of the lamest things about Arizona is NO fireflys! Anywhere! I miss them! When I was little and lived in Ohio I would catch them and put them in a mason jar and leave them above my bed as a night light. And then I would get super creeped out about all the bugs above my head, and I would take them to my brother's room.
Oh my goodness, FIREFLIES! I loved chasing after them as a little girl when I lived in Texas...it's truly my most magical memory! I've never seen one since then, and I miss them so much!
Can I come ride my bike with you? ;)
I think there's one of those mystery spots in the Irish Hills area. I think the city is Onsted and its about a 30min drive from Saline.
Are you sure you're not a natural red head? They tend to be fiery, passionate people.
