Wednesday Thoughts

Today we're going back to basics - before Wednesday Thoughts got all fancy (didn't realize it was fancy, did you? Well, check out this link to the first Wednesday Thoughts.) So here are some random thoughts for you on this wonderful Wednesday.

Once I notice the laugh track, it's impossible not to hear it. I start listening for certain laughs and I question how funny the show really is. Why do I need to be guided into thinking something is funny?

Do all jokes really have a little bit of truth in them? I think so.

You know what's weird about dating and crushes? The fact that you can be totally oblivious to the person, then wham - suddenly you feel like your life revolves around them. It's unsettling.

And lastly, my luck finally ran out recently and I got a speeding ticket. My first thought was, "I can't believe I got a ticket! Did I lose my charm?" But I was asking for it - no amount of charm could have gotten me out of this one. I should have cried...

Happy Wednesday.

Nooooo!! You are always the example I use when I tell people about how good women can be at getting out of tickets!! :( Guess the mighty have to fall sometime. :)

I got a ticket last fall (Jim still doesn't know, or secret, forever). It was my first. I've been pulled over a few times. Once when I was only 15 and didn't have a licinse and didn't get in trouble. But I guess when you go 68 in a 55 you're bound to get a ticket. Stupid me. lol.

Heather, I can relate. I've been pulled over a ton - twice for going 20 over, but no ticket. But this time I was going 94 in a 70.... No chance I was getting out of it. He only wrote me up for ten over though so I shouldn't complain. :)

"Me thinks?!" And this from a woman who refuses to say, "huzzah." Double standard, if you ask me. I hate to think that there actually is truth in all joking, but the whole "chicken crossing the road" genre became very real to me when I was in Thailand, so...

I'm so with you on the laugh tracks. That almost ruined How I Met Your Mother for me.. I wish they had gone extinct in the 80's. If you have to tell the audience when to laugh, you're obviously not funny.

94! My Lord woman you are in the wrong profession altogether. Ditch the library and head over to the speedway. Maybe you can convince someone to let you start racing for them. Sounds like you're a pretty fast talker!

I can't believe you got pulled over by a Colorado cop! ;)

Haha, yeah somehow he made it to Michigan and just started pulling people over. ;) I should probably fight that ticket...

Maybe you should have unbuttoned your top button. You know how that drives men crazy. That would have gotten you out of the ticket.
