Wednesday Thoughts

I had a horrible night's sleep last night. I woke up almost every hour I think. Needless to say, I feel like a zombie today. I'm not sure what caused my night of sleeplessness, but I think I can blame it on the Tigers game. It was either that or the nap I took from 7:00 to 9:00 yesterday evening. One of my more foolish decisions this week. In my defense, I had just had a big bowl of chicken and white bean stew and slipped into a stew coma. So it was more of a coma than a nap.

So, not to be too gloomy, but this has been such a long week. Last night felt like it should be Friday night. The upside: today's Wednesday. Hump day. We're almost there!

Today I'm feeling more optimistic but yesterday I was in a mood. I wrote a whole blog post about how my iPod was driving me crazy. The post had a list of complaints from everything to a tangled cord to songs that started out too quiet then deafened me when they started (because I turned the volume up when I couldn't hear them at the beginning). Aren't you glad I didn't post it?

Another thing I resisted blogging about: the Dr. Mario tournament I was a part of Monday night. Partly because I don't want to embarrass the people I beat (annihilated), and partly because I've been accused of talking (bragging) about Dr. Mario too much. Also, I'm pretty sure my grandma would tell me it's not helping my cause. Honestly, I'd have to agree with her.

Well, I just managed to blog about two things I told you I wasn't going to blog about.

Have a great Wednesday!

Who were you tourneying with on Monday? Inquiring minds want to know!

Dr. Mario tournament? Please, more like a Dr. Mario cakewalk. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I'm sure you caught the tone anyways. Accusing and insulting, with a hint of condenscendingly snide.

Haha, Mike. You lost, deal with it. Brady, the tournament was with John, Kristen, Mike, and Brian. Adam played too, but I don't think I played against him at all.

I didn't sleep much last night either, and I didn't take a nap or eat stew. Oh wait, I did take a nap. But I'm sure that wasn't a factor, it was only the sucky Tigers game. Can I say sucky on here? Anyway, what a waste of an entire season!
And I have to agree with you on the ipod complaints.
Any guy who can't love you for your Dr. Mario obsession can't love you at all. I'm not really sure if that makes sense, but you get my drift.

I was up coughing most of the night, ugh. Hey, thanks again for helping us move! Loved hanging out with you.

I'm sorry to hear that my victory over you (read: beatdown) in the Dr. Mario tournament has been causing you sleepless nights ever since. I'll go easier on you next time.

Haha, Brian, I was waiting for you to say something. I'll admit, you did beat me. Once. ;)

Mmmm, stew coma... It sounds like Mike's still in denial of your Dr. Mario skillz. (The "z" on the end there, it shows your mastery so much more...) If you have trouble sleeping again tonight, might I recommend reading an article called “Uneasy Terrain: Image, Text, Landscape, and Contemporary Indigenous Artists in the United States.”? I had to read it the other day and I tell ya, it has an alarming soporific effect. I'm working on solutions to your iPod troubles, too, and will let you know as soon as they're solved!
