Happy Mother's Day!

Mom and Me, circa....well, a long time ago.

Some things my mom has taught me by word and example:

1. Always give people the benefit of the doubt.
2. Sharing what you have doesn't give you less - the good feeling you get only makes you feel like you have more.
3. Study the scriptures and learn about the Gospel.
4. Attend the temple.
5. Sing out loud and appreciate music.
6. Flowers can make any day better.
7. Find joy in the little things in life - a sunny day, a phone call from a friend, a good book.
8. Serve others without complaining.
9. Do what you know is right, even if it isn't the easy thing to do.
10. Homemade chocolate chip cookies always beat store bought.

Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you!

What have you learned from your moms?

Since your mom happens to also be my mom, I've learned the same things! She's the best! Also I've learned from her to be patient in your afflictions. She always is! :) Happy madre's day!

I definitely learned integrity from my mom. She is uncompromising in doing what she believes is right. As a kid, I always knew my mom would do what she said she would. When it came to discipline, there were no idle threats. That was good for a kid like me :) I learned that it is important to be someone that others can trust. She taught me how to communicate honestly, and that you can have a disagreement without having a fight. She taught me the importance of the Gospel and how to live it. I love my mom, she's the best.
