Wednesday Thoughts

In movies and storybooks, spring looks like this:

(a little painting I did tonight)
But in reality, at least in this part of Michigan, it starts like this:

Tomorrow is the first day of spring. Yesterday I saw the first crocuses of the season! They'd been buried under the snow until it finally started to melt. In the past I've seen them as early as January! I can't wait for the snow to melt and the grass to turn green and the flowers to bloom.

Tonight we had a painting activity with the young women from church. The girls were supposed to paint a selection of fruit. This one made me laugh:

My computer is being totally wacky and weird and it's driving me crazy so I'm going to wrap this up before I punch the screen and bruise my knuckles. (I wouldn't really do that. I would just slip into madness. I'm halfway there right now.)

Happy Wednesday and Happy Spring!
