The real season of love

Check out what I saw growing in a local garden yesterday morning:

You know what that means...

Even though it still feels like summer, fall is coming. I've heard people say they can feel it in the air already.

I've been going into fall kicking and screaming but only because I hate winter, not because I hate fall. In fact, I absolutely love fall. I've been thinking about it lately and I think fall is maybe the best season for dating. What do you think? Here are some fun date ideas for fall:

*cider mills (creating traditions early on... so sweet.)
*corn mazes (even if you figured out how to get out early on, pretend you didn't.)
*haunted houses ("I need to hold onto you because I'm scared." - actually I do get this scared so I'm not mocking this. If I go to a haunted house with you, I really will need to hold onto you.)
*carving pumpkins (adorable - and competitive.)
*football games ("explain to me again what a 'down' is.")
*watching scary movies (cuddle, much?)

...and so many more.

Most likely I'll just be doing all of these with friends, but I'll try to trick someone into a date for at least one of them. What do you think the best fall dating idea is?

Best Post Ever!

Ok, maybe I need to tone it down a bit, but I really love Michigan Falls as well.

HAH! Don't tease me. It's 91 right now and supposed to get up to 107 and tomorrow is supposed to be 110. PSHHHHH Fall. :(

Matt and I met in the fall- we went in a group (we were invited by a mutual acquaintance) to a corn maze and had a hay tractor ride too. :) Fall is a great time for dating!

Brady stole my comment. This really sums up fall wonderfully. I really can't wait. Mmm Parmenters, fabulous fall colors, cooler temps, halloween, football, you got it. I am dying to dress my kiddos in some orange or maroon right now! Fall makes for the best outdoor pictures!

Oh, fall! How I love thee! I love all of those things, too. Sigh! Seriously great post. I also love the Renaissance Festival, the Saline Fair, the Demolition Derby, etc. etc. etc....

That is one nice pumpkin. I enjoy going to the many metroparks in Michigan. Fresh cider and doughnuts and orange leaves! My favorite fall park is off Dixie Hwy. I did my best to enjoy it as much as I could last year. Manistee Ntl Park was also very nice.

Haunted house for sure. There's so few instances where a guy can feel like a knight in shining armor. We either need more monsters in real life or more haunted houses.

Freshly baked pumpkin seeds, the smell of zucchini bread baking, the smell of burning leaves (even though they don't let us do that in the city now), crisp, fresh air, after the mugginess of August, and the anticipation of turkey in November.
