Warm Fuzzies

This has been "a week" so far. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only way who's felt that way. On Facebook last night, I saw the following status update from a friend of mine:

"If today had a face, I would punch it."

Not to be a negative nelly, but I could relate. And hers wasn't the only status update I've seen like that this week, not to mention melancholy blog posts from friends, and of course, personal interactions with people who have had it up to here with this week. Is it the weather? The alignment of the stars? Whatever it is, I give the week four more days to redeem itself. If it could do it in less, that would be awesome.

Let's pull it together though - this blog should be a place of refuge (that's weird but go with me), so I'm going to focus on the positive, ie:

I just ate a warm peanut butter cookie with Nutella on it.
I received a nice compliment from a boy today.
I'm watching Psych, and watched Modern Family earlier (t.v. happiness- the cheapest, easiest form of happiness)
Someone showed me how to change the clock in my car today.
My friends are hilarious and wonderful.

Now it's your turn. If you're already here reading this post, it will only take you 30 seconds to click on "comment" and leave a happy thought. I know you have at least one in you. How about you go ahead and share it? I'm not the only one who could use it! Here's to a happy tomorrow.

My happy thought is that a week from tomorrow I will be eating turkey with gravy and potatoes. Also, stuffing and pumpkin pie. I could eat turkey several times a week and not get tired of it. YEA!

I was going to send you a link to the most melancholy of posts, but I'll refrain. ;)

I made no bake cookies tonight because Matt challenged me to give up pop and I'm sugar deprive. And most of it mixed up when I realized I didn't have quick oats! So, I dumped in 4 packages of oatmeal and the little flour I had left and some baking soda. Then I decided to bake them because raw flour seemed weird even though it tasted good. Turned out to be possibly the best cookies I have ever made. Go figure. Now I have a cookie hangover. It was much like a peanut butter cookie with Nutella (but with oatmeal too).

I needed this post! Thanks, E! I'm sitting in my favorite spot on my couch right now, in my jammies, with my fake fire roaring on my tv, my Christmas tree lit up next to it, and Mozart playing along with the crackling fire! Bliss! Now if you could send me one of those pb cookies with Nutella... ;)

Also, today at work, I was feeling a little blah, and was running some errands around school. When I got back to my desk, my coworker had put a sticky note on my laptop that said, "Why isn't zombie spelled 'zomby'?" with a little stick figure zombie below saying, "Braaains..." HA! It made me laugh so hard and perked up a dull day at work! :) I love warm fuzzies. Even in the form of stick figure zombies. :)

I love warm fuzzies. Dad introduced me to them in high school. I have no idea where it is now (I definitely would not have thrown it away.) Probably among the mess of mission stuff and pics that have yet to be organized.

My fuzzie today? Jim hugged my leg and said, "I love you, too." Even though I hadn't said it to him in that moment. Nothing like 2-year old on solicited love.

Wow, warm peanut butter cookies with Nutella sound amazing. I might have to try that.

My happy thought for the morning is that it's clementine season! I just bought my first big box of them this past weekend and have been eating them like candy. Clementines and pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving and the smell of Christmas trees...these are the reasons I can stay happy through the fall-to-winter transition.

I was just at my friend amys house and that is always fun. We were using her cricut machine to cut out vinyl letters.
I am now sittin in line at paiges school waiting to pick her up. She has a half day. Remember how much fun those were? Good times. Then we are going to get a cake and presents for jim. Then I am going to treat myself with a potato soft taco from taco bell. Those are all very happy things.

Try Doritos late night cheeseburger, it makes you feel like your Violet Beauregrade. That will not only change your mood but quite possibly your whole day!

Ok, today my warm fuzzy is Harry Potter:) Some might find this ridiculous, but life this semester has been really busy and stressful and because of this I have been struggling! Today will be a happy day because I will get to see one of my favorite books on the big screen.

Warm fuzzy for the week? Good friends, whether it is someone to watch a movie with or talk to about the dating game. Friends get you through life!!

My warm fuzzy is the book "Fall is not Easy". We just got it from the library. I know that doesn't sound warm and fuzzy, but it is children's book that shows that fall is not only hard for us, that the trees have a hard time dealing with it too. Also, we have family pictures tonight and I have good hair! I have spent hours working on the outfit coordination and can't wait to see how they come out! (just call me TAMN here).

Oreos and milk...put a smile on my face every time! :) Oh, and a random act of kindness, like the guy at the dealership NOT charging me labor to put in a new air filter because hello, he's already up in my car's business anyhow. :)

Thanksgiving is next week! Short week for school/work and yummy food. What could be better?
There we go, now for real you know I read your blog Elizabeth. :) I love it.

This week has been depressing. I say we blame it on dementors..which directly relates to my happy thought- I saw Harry Potter 7 today!!!

Also, all you can eat sushi, and an amazing sale at Banana Republic, and my English class got cancelled. Thursday made up for the rest of the week, in my book.

My family and I had an awesome time playing in the leaves today on a unseasonably warm fall day. Love moments like that.

I love that Facebook status - I am totally going to steal it next time I have a bad day.

I love Psych! That show could turn anyone's bad day upside down! :)
Happy note...I just fell on your blog and it's so cute! I'm excited to read more :)
Another happy note..especially for me! Where I live there were calling for a blizzard today...I just looked out my window and I'm seeing blue skies :) Yay!

Well, there is a rumor going around that the world is going to end tomorrow so maybe looking back at the week you're writing about really wasn't that bad.
But I will leave you with some happy thoughts;
