Would you rather?

Sleep for 8-9 hours a night in an incredibly comfortable bed - for a month - while still keeping up with all your responsibilities,

or

sleep five hours a night (with no naps), for the entire month, BUT have a housekeeper who will cook your dinner, do your laundry, and wash your dishes during that month?

Which do you choose, and why?

I choose sleeping for 8-9 hours a night and keeping up with my responsibilities. As long as I am well rested, I typically don't mind doing my own chores around the house. I'm kind of OCD about things like laundry and dishes, so I don't really trust a housekeeper to do those things for me anyway. Not even Alice. Plus an incredibly comfortable bed is sounding really good right about now :)

I choose sleeping. That bed you pictured is calling to me in a big way.
And like the previous commenter the responsibilities are not that huge of a deal when I am rested. (In my choice I am going to assume that all my children get the proper amount of sleep too making them more docile and angelic.)

Ooooh, that bed is calling my name! As much as I like Alice, I'd have to go for sleep, too. Although...I do get tired of making myself dinner, and I've begun to HATE doing dishes!! I think I'd probably still say the sleep, but I'm saying goodbye to Alice with some sadness.

I would die with only five hours of sleep. I would much rather get the 8-9 hours and keep up with my responsibilities.

I would totally rather have number 2. I would love it if someone cleaned up for me and cooked me dinner. Sometimes i get 8 or more hours of sleep but still feel soo tired because i have so much to do during the day. I already get little sleep and If someone would do all of that for me, well then...that would be wonderful.

I'm drooling over that bed.

8-9 hours, hands down. Although I have to admit, with a 7-week-old baby, even the five-hour stretch sounds good.

Here I have a problem, because although that bed looks absolutely fantastic and 8-9 hours of sleep is something I haven't gotten in about 3 months, if I'm getting that much sleep I don't think I can keep up with my responsibilities. But if I switch to Alice and she's doing the things that make it so I can't sleep (I can't go to sleep if I have too many dishes to do, some OCD weirdness...) then I would have time to get 8-9 hours! This is like a catch-22!

I pick a month of quality sleep and full responsibilities over being tired all the time, and having nothing to do around the house.

While I'm sure that Alice would give me lots of quality advice, no one else deserves the task of catching my dirty socks and wrestling them into the washer.

8-9 hours of quality sleep for me. If I don't get the sleep, I will be cranky for everything else. If I'm getting the sleep, I'd have the energy to do everything the housekeeper would do.

By the way, I'm sure it's a woman thing, but there are way too many pillows on that bed. They would find their way to the floor in about 0.1 seconds after I went to bed.

8-9 hours of sleep for sure. Dinner, laundry and dishes don't take THAT long. Especially when I have cereal for dinner. :)

Short sleep and bring on the help, maybe they'd be able to keep up with 4 mess makers better than I can.

By the way, caught a brief interview with Matt Lauer and some writer today... the published proposed a which would you rather question you have already covered..."Fly or invisible." Keep up the good work some day the public will be giving credit where credit is due:D

Sleep, sleep, sleep all the way. I don't mind if the laundry piles up and if I eat sandwiches all month, as long as I'm getting that amazing rest!

Definitely sleeping. I like being busy and having things to do! Interesting question though...

I once participated in a research study where I was required to get only 6 hours of sleep a night for 10 days - no catching up on weekends and no naps. I usually get 8 hours a night, so I was surprised how functional and happy I was able to remain for those 10 days. But the whole time all I could think about was how much I wanted to just sleep. I never, ever want to do that again, even with a personal maid.

I would choose sleep too. :)

Def. the bed. Because my husband does the dishes anyways!

I would choose 8-9 hours of sleep. I love my sleep. However the thought of a wise cracking housekeeper is alluring.
