I like going to south Florida, Miami or Naples, then take a trip to the keys. (www.icealaska.com). This year the dates are Feb 22 - Mar 27. However the best time to come is for near the end or on the day of the multi-block championship and judging. I have never seen anything like this in my life and give it ten thumbs up every year!<br /><br />If you can't make Fairbanks in the winter, check out Raspberry Island out of Kodiak Alaska in the summer. If you can get there, you can volunteer to be a helper and live there for free for a week or two in exchange for your help making sandwiches and helping in the morning.
